About Lone Creek Custom Homes

About the Members

Working most of their lives in the construction trades, brothers Ryan and David Quackenbush have always shared the philosophy of their father: attention to detail is vital. The details are where all the work lies, but where quality, value, and pride are derived. Ryan and David take great pride in all they pursue. Above all else they are building a company that focuses on the details, provides total transparency in the building process, and operates with the utmost integrity and honor.

David's Background

Recalling a science project from the 6th grade where David was recognized at the Colorado State competition for his unique testing of fire-retardant insulation, he developed a dynamic interest in the methodology of building. David worked in several capacities including interning at a major electrical company during high school. He worked in home renovations where he observed the outcomes of building practices over time, developing a further understanding of how structures are effected from their designed performance and ability to handle conditions such as climate, durability and usage.

After spending many years as a contractor, himself, David discovered a new path enlisting in the United States Air Force. He then went on to become a police officer in Colorado Springs, Colorado. While rewarding in itself, he missed the spirit of entrepreneurship. David returned to construction contracting and decided to become a licensed general contractor and homebuilder. His vision was to provide high quality workmanship, honesty in craftsmanship and integrity into the professional industry. In recent years of work, he has become frustrated with the lack of professionalism when it comes to hiring people for jobs. It's difficult to see who a company truly is or what level of work ethic they have in a simple google search. David wanted to offer more quality control by being a builder and advocating on the behalf of those who may not have the skills to know whether work is being completed to a professional standard. He became a certified home inspector and loves being able to deliver high quality results while always looking out for his clients' best interests. David is still a devoted reservist in the Air Force, capitalizing on his experience and attention to detail to provide stellar construction practices.

Lone Creek Today

As a homebuilder, Lone Creek Custom Homes has developed a passion for the science of building and tasks themselves with educating people on best building methods, practices, discussing materials, and looking beyond the finishes of a home. Lone Creek’s members are active in influencing the building industry through educational seminars, consultation and being a leader by utilizing superior building materials forcing the “builder’s grade” threshold to a newer and higher standard. Lone Creek loves to build a home for the comfort and experience of living, not just the sight of it.
